Sorry guys.  It's been ages, I know.  Excuses, excuses.  But my tablet pen has run away, so I'm stuck for a while.
If I live-streamed my art, would anyone be interested in watching?

Commissions OPEN!  See DeviantID below for pricing.
Message me here, on FurAffinity: www.furaffinity.net/user/chami… , or email me at palindrathATgmailDOTcom with inquiries!
Commissions are now open!  I'll have a very limited amount of slots open to avoid getting overwhelmed, so please let me know if you're interested so I can reserve a slot for you. :)

Prices are as follows and will always vary depending on complexity:

Sketch - $15

Lineart - $20+

Lineart/Flat Color - $30+

Lineart/Full Shaded Color - $70+

Message me here, on Furcadia (as Chamille or Chamele!) or at my NEW FA PAGE www.furaffinity.net/user/chami… ! with what you have in mind and I can give you a more accurate price.  Just remember, the more detailed and specific you are, the closer I can get to what you want!
And I'm sorry about that.  Much love to everyone subscribed to me who've put up with my incredibly slow posting thus far.  Art inspiration comes and goes.  Have several pieces in the works, the only question is when I'm going to get around to finishing them!

Figured I'd post this little diddy since I hadn't updated this since the Bioware feature!  Lordy, I'm slow.

I'm freaking out still, this is incredible.  Recognition from my favorite game-developing company?  Oh my god.  I'm so flattered, it means the world to me to have Bioware pick a piece of mine to feature for their Fan Friday Update!  I'm hyperventilating.  So amazing.

I love you, Bioware.

The muse is not entirely dead!

As proof by my latest upload.  I'm coaxing her back to life, promise!

That's cool, DeviantArt.  I definitely didn't want to upload more pictures.  So sure, go ahead and error/glitch/freak out whenever I try to.  I like when you do that.

First of all, I want to thank all you lovelies from Moon Guard for taking the time to visit.  Commissions will be on a first-come, first-served basis; the sooner you get your information to me, the sooner you'll have your picture completed!

The response has been overwhelmingly positive!  So because of that, I'll only be accepting a few more commissions before I close in order to finish those before starting the cycle over again.

If there's a demand, I'll start a waitlist for those desiring to be on it.  Just let me know.  I'll issue a post here and on the forums when I have closed commissions for the time being.

Again, thank you very much.

Feel free to drop any questions/concerns to me here on DA or to my [H] toon Elle on Moon Guard. :)

It's that time again; in need of money and have open slots.  Commissions are reopened and I'm happily accepting any I can do in a reasonable amount of time.  Full-pictures, sketches, comics, you name it.  I'm hesitant to accept Furc Portrait commissions, but if I get enough of them, I'll consider starting that up again.

Feel free to note me any questions, or drop me a line about what you'd like and I can return you a price estimate ASAP.

Drawing Sucks

And I'm bad at it. Damn you lack of inspiration and motivation, you cruel, capricious, unhelpful bitch-of-a-muse.  Why must you abandon me when I am most in need of something TO DO.

Plushies! Or.. Plushy, at least!

Journal Entry: Sat Apr 10, 2010, 4:05 PM
After seeing How To Train Your Dragon, falling in love with it, and being UTTERLY DISAPPOINTED by the available plush toys of Toothless and co', I have decided I'm going to give making one myself a shot.  And why the hell not?  Toothless is absolutely adorable and made of such simple shapes, I'm pretty convinced I can do this.

So, that's my new project!  Plushy Toothless that actually looks like Toothless.  I'll post pictures of the final product if I get him finished properly.

Timing, Timing

Journal Entry: Fri Apr 2, 2010, 10:54 PM
You'll notice my updates tend to be flurries of activity and uploads, spaced apart by long periods of inactivity and quiet.  Well, that's just how I work.  My muse is a fickle mistress and I must bend to her will; when inspiration hits, I get many works done!  While it is vacant, I am stuck in art block.

But I'll get more up here eventually.  Working on a drow piece at the moment, two of them in fact, one of my Myrshri and one of TJ's Ssrazar.. Or perhaps a combined piece.  We'll see!  I've also got more SWTOR OC's in the works, a partner-picture of my Ersari and Grant's unnamed Jedi.  'fraid the Mass Effect spree is at an end, or at least will slow down considerably now that I'm no longer playing on MEU.

Good wishes to all of you, and I can't thank you enough for all the support and love! :)

Why must everything be a popularity contest, I wonder.

Now, I can't really speak on the industry as a whole since I've had barely a taste of it, but I can only speak of what I've seen.  So why is it talentless actors and directors become big names in the industry simply by riding the coat-tails of their talented, big-name friends?  Is nothing earned anymore?

Why is it the director who produces unfunny and unskilled work gets so many more views than the director whose work is well-done, beautiful and creative?

Why do actors who lack rhythm and act with all the believability of a tub of frozen yogurt get selected for bigger parts/projects than the actors who actually have some ability?

And why is it one female in particular is taking the singing parts in the field by storm despite being utterly unable to actually /sing/?  I'll tell you why: because her friend happens to be a very popular director, and she rode his star to the top when she first entered, so to speak.  Popularity by association, and it makes me unhappy to see so many people gushing, but I digress.

I won't name names, of course.  That isn't what this little mini-rant is about.  It just strikes me as incredibly discouraging to watch from afar the same things that happen in other, professional industries happen to this one.

Favoritism never loses its flavor, does it?  The best things will always go to the people who have the best friends, or at least the ones who can brown-nose better than the others, won't they?

Boom Goes the 360

Journal Entry: Sat Mar 13, 2010, 10:08 AM
Well, my xBox went straight to hell late last night.  After a good four odd years, my first-gen 360 started freezing before giving me the tell-tale RRoD.  A horrifying shade of red, that is.  And now because I bought my console more than three years ago (yes, punish us first-gen buyers!), Microsoft expects me to pay $100 just to get my old system repaired?

I think not.  That's half the damn price of a brand new one with better components.

Raging,
Ariel

Thank you! :)

I want to give a big thank you to everyone watching me and commenting/favoriting!  The reception to my Mass Effect work has been incredibly positive, and it's a big encouragement to keep at it!  So, thank you.  Without you guys, this wouldn't be nearly as fun. :)

Happy Valentine's Day!

As the title reads!  Hope everyone is having a great one!  I sure am. 8D

Mass Effect 2

Journal Entry: Tue Feb 2, 2010, 6:37 PM
Amazing game.  Can't type much, busy playing through it a second time.  Lots of inspiration from it.  God damn, it's good to see Garrus again.  Although, Thane is a competitor for my heart now.  Damn you, Bioware, tailoring characters just the way I like 'em!  What's next, and even /better/ Alistair?

Got myself into an excellent little Mass Effect RP forum, too.  Spending a lot of time there, great people to interact and write with.  Such a refreshing change from WoW RP.

That's all, back to game!

Frustration

Journal Entry: Fri Jan 29, 2010, 1:28 AM
It's so incredibly frustrating to have these magnificent images in your head and be unable to translate them onto the canvas the way they should look.  Beautiful scenes, landscapes, incredible worlds my mind dreams up and when I put the proverbial ink to paper, they look like such poor imitations I can't even bother to finish them because I know they'll never compare.  I have a very rudimentary understanding of the tools I use, and I very rarely find a tutorial containing what I need to learn.

How upsetting as an artist to be unable to create art on any medium the way your mind does. I need to find a course in Photoshop techniques and landscapes that will give me the skills to do what I am driven to.  And until then, I slam my face against the art-block wall.
